Unix System Calls

EusLisp assorts functions which directly correspond to the system calls and library functions of UNIX operating system. For further detail of these functions, consult UNIX system interface reference (2). These low-level functions defined in *unix-package* are sometimes dangerous. Use higher level functions defined in other packages if possible. For example, use IPC facilities described in the section 11.4 instead of unix:socket, unix:bind, unix:connect, and so on.
